Every piece of gear carries the strength, resilience, and history of the firefighters who once wore it and with each product made we honor those hero’s by helping to drastically reduce the tons of gear waste that would otherwise end up in landfills. Here at Kelacustoms turnout gear is transformed into unique, functional bags, such as backpacks, duffles, pouches and more. These bags retain the rugged, protective qualities of the original gear, often featuring reflective strips, reinforced stitching, and unique wear patterns that tell a story of the gear’s past use. This creative recycling process reduces waste by the ton while honoring the legacy of all first responders!

How it works.

Send us an email including your name, phone number, department and gear amount.
For shipping an accurately sized container will be shipped to your department at no cost

Please empty all pockets and remove any personal items or tools that could be in the gear.
*Gear does not have to be washed or cleaned*

After confirming a date and time our team will travel to pickup your turnout gear.
For shipping, once our container has arrived we ask that you pack the turnout gear as flat as possible to ensure the maximum space of the container.

For in person, we ask that you have a neat pile of turnout gear and easy access for us to load up.
For shipping, once the container is full and ready to be sent out our team will schedule the pickup by one our shipping services.
